Brightline PT

A bold, minimal fitness concept site exploring structured content modeling in Sanity CMS.

Case Study

Overview

Brightline Personal Training is a concept website for a personal training brand, built to explore both visual direction and content structure using Sanity CMS.

The goal was to create a bold, confident design while also testing how structured content could be managed in a flexible backend system.

The Problem

Fitness websites often rely on high-energy visuals but lack clear structure behind their content.

This project explored how to balance a strong, attention-grabbing visual style with a clean, maintainable content system that could scale without becoming overly complex.

The Approach

The design direction started with a focus on boldness and simplicity.

A large, poster-like layout style was used to communicate confidence and directness, while keeping the overall structure minimal and easy to navigate.

To maintain consistency across the site:

  • Typography was reused as a core design system element
  • Spacing rules were standardized to create rhythm and structure
  • A limited color palette was applied consistently across sections

This repetition helped unify the design and reinforce a strong visual identity without unnecessary complexity.

CMS and Content Structure

This project also focused heavily on integrating Sanity CMS as the content layer.

The initial challenge was defining the content structure before designing the interface. The Sanity studio was built first, which required making early assumptions about sections, components, and data relationships.

Once the visual design direction was clearer, several adjustments were made to better align the CMS structure with the actual needs of the layout.

This iterative process helped refine how content modeling and design decisions interact in a real build workflow.

Result

The final concept demonstrates a minimal but bold design approach paired with a flexible CMS structure.

It highlights two key learnings:

  • Strong visual identity can be achieved through restraint and repetition
  • Content structure decisions have a direct impact on design flexibility
